Awana meets Sunday evenings from 5 to 6:30 PM.
Purpose of Awana at Lakeside Baptist Church: Connect Kids to Jesus, His Church, and the Community.
Through Awana, children are taught about Jesus and learn how to live a Christian life. This is accomplished through Bible lessons and memorizing verses. Each Club night, kids get to participate in many fun games.
The Awana club night is divided into 3 specific times:
1. Game time — Children enjoy a variety of fun and interactive games.
2. Handbook time — Leaders work with small groups of children help them memorize Bible verses and complete other learning activities. Children earn awards for passing sections in their handbooks.
3. Counsel time — During Counsel time, your child is taught a Bible based lesson.
Each volunteer in our Awana program has completed a background check before serving.
