Covid Mask Requirements Revised:
Dear Parents,
With Covid cases continuing to rise in this area and out of an abundance of caution we are making a slight change in our policy as a church so that we can continue to offer an environment that is a safe as possible for our families, and to model the selfless love of Christ to those around us.
Effective Sunday February 7, we will be asking that everyone who enters the building wear a mask while moving through the building. In the sanctuary on Sunday mornings, we will still leave it up to the individual family if they desire to remove their mask once they are seated. There will still be a reserved section for those who desire to keep their mask on for the entire service.
For our small group environments, which includes LifeGroups, children’s ministry areas, and youth, we are asking that people wear a mask for the entirety of the meeting times. This will help us to be able to ensure families that desire to have their children attend services that we are doing everything possible to keep them and their families as safe as possible.
In our children’s area we will follow the CDC guidelines and VDH requirements.
Children over 5 should wear a mask if they are able to wear it properly.
This includes Sunday School, Children’s church, and AWANA.
In youth we are asking all students to wear a mask while at youth.
This includes Sunday School and Sunday night, and while riding the vans to and from South campus.
We will no longer seek to socially distance those who chose not to wear a mask, they will no longer be permitted in the small group environments until the mandates have been lifted.
We know that these are trying times and these requests are difficult, but we believe that wearing a mask for the safety and comfort of others is the least we can do to show the love of Christ to one another.
If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the pastors.
