looking for a church home

LOOKING FOR A CHURCH HOME?

Life can be stressful: moving, having a baby, getting married, getting divorced, job changes, etc.

Whether you are facing one of these (or more than one of these), or you are just taking the next step in pursuing questions about God and life, we would love to help you.

We want every single person whom God is calling to Lakeside to be here and to find a permanent church home to help them grow and flourish in their relationship with Christ.

We may be a short stop for you.  Maybe you are just passing through town on vacation and want to join us for worship; or maybe you don't know what's happening in your life but you need a place to be loved, accepted, and to heal.

As God uses us to further His Kingdom in the Roanoke Valley, we would love to play a big or small part in your life.  Come join us for a service anytime and if you need to talk with someone we have some great folks who can help with that.

NEW HERE

If you are new to Lakeside, here are some things you may want to know to help you get settled:

COME AND SEE

You are welcome at any of our services or ministry meetings as you are getting to know our church.

ARRIVING

If it is just you coming, 5-10 minutes before Sunday School or the worship service begins is ample time to get settled.  If you have  multiple children to get checked in, we recommend arriving 20 minutes early.

DRESS

Lakeside has a healthy mix of backgrounds and ages.  On a Sunday morning, you will see folks in a suit and tie, and you may also see folks in shorts and flip flops (unless it is winter time - then they probably won't wear shorts, but you get the idea).  So come dressed in a way that helps you to worship God.  Almost all of our other gatherings are casual.

PARKING

Lakeside's parking lot wraps almost all the way around our building and you are welcome to park in any section.  There are handicap spaces at the doors near the Daycare sign off Dalewood as well as directly in front of the main doors to the sanctuary (big building with the huge crosses on the front).  We have special GUEST PARKING spaces in front of the sanctuary if you want to park close to the entrance.

SECURITY

Picking up children younger than middle school at any of our ministry meetings and services is simple yet secure. Stop by our Children's Check-in stations (located in the Worship Center lobby or on the Children's Sunday School Hallway) to check-in and print a name tag for your child(ren). This ensures that your child is returned to you.  After you've checked in once, you will be able to receive email notifications of important church information. The check-in process will be faster for future visits!

OTHER QUESTIONS?

Please feel free to call (540.986.0062) or email (office@lbcva.com) the office with other questions you may have; we want to help!
